On Saturday, July 1, the junior hardball team of Carlow Cricket Club travelled to Wexford to play their first game of the season. Wexford has always been a great host for the youngers.
Every junior player bowled at least two overs and all batted. Two kept wickets. The players displayed great skills, attitude, team spirit and camaraderie.

Jimmy Dooley, the club’s youth and development officer who accompanied the team, has been instrumental in instilling the young players with qualities essential to develop themselves into professional players that the club envisages.
